What platforms does the app support?
Find My Fitbit app is available on iOS and Android.

How does Find My Fitbit app work?
Find My Fitbit app is extremely easy to use. It uses Cold, Warmer, Hot indicators to tell you how close your are to your lost Fitbit by using the Bluetooth Low Energy signals broadcasted from your Fitbit.
- Launch the Find My Fitbit app
- See your Fitbit in the App. Tap on it.
- Walk around very slowly. Pause a second between each step so the app has time to calculate the location of your lost Fitbit. As you move closer to your lost Fitbit the indicator will change from Cold to Warmer.
- When you are about 3-5 feet away from your lost Fitbit the indicator will display Hot. Simple as that. You found your Fitbit!!
Does Find My Fitbit only find the Fitbit connected to my phone or tablet?
No. Find My Fitbit can find any Fitbit within 75-100 feet of the phone running the app. This way you can help your friends and family find their lost Fitbit using your phone or tablet. Find My Fitbit can be used as many times as you would like for one price.
Can I find my Fitbit using a phone or tablet that is not mine?
Yes. Find My Fitbit can find anyones Fitbit from any phone. If you are using a phone or tablet that is not the device that connects to your Fitbit you must turn off the phone or tablet that does connect to your Fitbit. This will disconnect the Fitbit from the phone so it can broadcast a Bluetooth signal.
Can Find My Fitbit app find a lost Fitbit with a dead battery?
No. Sorry. Find My Fitbit app uses the Bluetooth signal from the Fitbit to find it. If the battery is dead your lost Fitbit cannot broadcast a signal.
Does my Fitbit need a full charge in order for Find My Fitbit app to find it?
No. Your Fitbit can be low on battery and Find My Fitbit app will still be able to find your lost Fitbit.
How far away can Find My Fitbit app find a Fitbit?
- Find My Fitbit app can find a Fitbit up to 100 feet away. Depending on where your Fitbit is hiding, and your surroundings, the distance might be shorter.
- The signal from a Fitbit can travel through walls, floors, and ceilings. This means you might get a warm or hot signal in one room in your house, but your lost Fitbit could be in the room right next to it, above it, or below it. Look in all locations to your left, right, up, and down when the indicator says warm or hot.
My Fitbit is not showing up on the "Screen Devices" screen. It keeps saying "Scanning for Devices". What should I do?
Follow the step by step instructions in the iPhone/iPad Help or the Android Help section of the app.
I've followed all the steps in the instructions, but my Fitbit is still not showing up on the "Screen Devices" screen.
This could mean a couple of things -
If your Fitbit is still not showing up under "Seen Devices". Do this.
- You are too far away from your lost Fitbit. The signal from a Fitbit can travel through walls, ceilings, and floors so check every floor and room.
- The battery is dead. If you know you lost your Fitbit in a certain location, but you can't find it, your battery is probably dead. :(
- On your phone Go to Settings -> Bluetooth
- In the list of devices find your Fitbit.
- If it's "Connected" click on the info icon right next to it.
- Click either "Forget This Device" or "Disconnect"
- Switch back to our app. Your Fitbit should now be listed under "Seen Devices"
If your Fitbit is still not showing up under "Seen Devices". Do this.
- Swipe close our app
- Launch it again. Sometimes the phone's Bluetooth gets "confused" and doesn't work properly.
Find My Fitbit app keeps saying "Walk Slowly..." and doesn't display Cold, Warmer, or Hot.
When the apps stays in the "Walk Slowly..." mode for a long period time this means that it hasn't received enough signals from your lost Fitbit to provide an accurate calculation of how far away your Fitbit is.
Check the last seen time. If it's not updating at at least every 30 seconds then your are too far away from your Fitbit or the signal from your Fitbit is being blocked by another object. The good news is that your Fitbit is near by. Keep moving around slowly so the app can receive more signals from your Fitbit.
You can also try shutting down our app and starting it again. Sometimes the phone's Bluetooth gets "confused" and doesn't work properly.

Find My Fitbit app doesn't display Warmer or Hot. Stays on Cold.
Is the "Last Seen" time updating at least every 30 seconds? When the the last seen doesn't update frequently this means your are too far away from your lost Fitbit or the signal from your lost Fitbit is being blocked by another object. The good news is that your Fitbit is near by. Keep moving around slowly so the app can receive more signals from your lost Fitbit.
